FAQ

Do I need to sign a contract to retain services?

Yes. A contract for services protects both our clients and us as the business and your DJ service provider.

What kind of information is in the contract?

Great question! Your contract includes your contact information, the venue's contact information, the services we will be providing for the event as well as the costs associated. The contract has information about your deposit and when your balance is due as well as general information about provisions for a safe and organized setup area for our DJ systems. Also in your contract is information about what balances are, or are not, due in the event of an event cancellation or postponement. Take the time to read your contract before signing it, just as you would do with any other contract you are signing.

How will I get the contract to sign it?

To avoid the possibility of any contracts getting lost in the mail, your contract will be delivered to you digitally (via email) for you to review and sign. This ensures the fastest and most accurate method of signing the contract as well as catching any errors that need to be corrected before the contract is signed.

How much of a deposit is needed to retain services?

A deposit of 50% of the total fee is required to retain services for your event.

Is a deposit absolutely necessary to retain services?

Yes, a deposit is absolutely necessary to retain services. Your deposit goes toward the time spent in all aspects of preparing for your event and continuing operating expenses including any maintenance and/or repair of the expensive equipment being used at your event and others. This enables us to provide you with the best experience both before and during your event.

Is my deposit refundable?

All deposits to retain services are non-refundable. For this reason, we encourage you to pay only the required deposit and leave the rest of the balance due for later. You can find this clause in your contract in the second line of the contract, also pictured below.

When is my deposit due?

All deposits are due within 7 days of the signing of the contract.

Ok, got it, deposits are not refundable. But what if I have to postpone or cancel my event?

Good question! If you need to reschedule your event, we'll do our best to work with you regarding date availability. We still want to be able to DJ your event for you! However, sometimes a date may not be available and you may have to cancel services with us to be able to find someone that is available on the new date of your event. We do have a policy in place for such happenings. It can actually be found on the 2nd page of your contract (pictured below). If the cancellation occurs within 90 days of the event, you are liable for the balance of the fee, which must still be paid by the day the event would have originally taken place. With that said, we recognize that there could be extenuating circumstances in any cancellation, so all cancellations are reviewed and handled on a case by case basis to see what the best course of action would be.

I thought a DJ for my wedding was only going to cost a couple hundred dollars. Why isn't that the case?

We realize that budgeting plays a crucial role in any event budgeting plan. We strive to offer the highest quality professional DJ entertainment and experience possible at reasonable prices. We also realize that many people are not necessarily savvy on what a pro DJ services brings to the table versus the low-price two-hundred-dollar DJ they may have been expecting. Are you Insured?

We most definitely are insured!

Do you take requests?

Yes, within reason. Remember, you're hiring us to be able to provide DJ entertainment which means we'll have to adjust to your guests reaction to the music played.  We will undoubtedly have to change "game plans" to make sure that all of your guests have a great time dancing on the dance floor. So, we will absolutely do our best to make sure that we have the songs you definitely want to jam to on your big day. By all means, please do give us a list of those songs (or even a list of songs you don't want played). We'll do our best to field as many requests as possible the day of the event as well. Please be aware, though, that we don't carry every single song ever released and some songs may not be available under extreme short notice. But, that being said, we'll do our best for you!

How far in advance do I have to submit my requests for my event?

We ask that you please try your best to submit your requests no later than 2 weeks from the date of your event. This will allow us to definitely have enough time to make sure your request list is in order and that we have all of the music you want!

Is the music you play "clean"???

The music we played is indeed edited to remove curse words. What we cannot do, however, is edit a song for "CONTENT". That is something that can't be done because the song is what it is and has been released as such by the artist. Usually, though, people are referring to curse words when they ask this so, again, the music we play is edited to be free of curse words. We aim to be a DJ company that can be hired to handle all your family and friend events and we don't want to tarnish that reputation by playing music that is full of curse words and expletives.

How far in advance will you be at the venue on the day of the event?

We try to be there a few hours ahead of your scheduled start time. This gives us the opportunity to set up equipment un-rushed and allows us time to fix any hiccups. That being said, we are sometimes bound by the guidelines of your event venue so, we'll do our best to work with your venue to be there ahead of time with as much time as they'll allow us.

Do you handle all announcements on the microphone?

As a DJ, it is our job to do this! We're actually very surprised that this is a question but, I guess some DJ companies charge extra for this. That being said, if you have someone you definitely want in charge of making announcements, other than us, we'll definitely work with you to make that happen.
